SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL CHOIR SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES (2026)

There are 3 student choir scholarships available for students in Years 5 -12 at local Bendigo schools/colleges ($1,750 per student per year) commencing in February 2026 and normally continuous until the end of Year 12.  In addition, there are 4 adult choir bursaries ($2,400 each per recipient per annum) available for a Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass singer from February 2026 (for a 12-month fixed term).  For further enquiries and audition information (normally after the 11am Mass on Sundays), please email paul.taylor@sandhurst.catholic.org.au  The scholarships and bursaries provide a wonderful formative opportunity to sing some of the finest Church music in one of Australia’s iconic Cathedrals.  In addition, singing in the liturgy is an added way of praying, as St Augustine reminds us, and an effective way to support the local parish community at prayer. Choral singing is a wonderful spiritual workout!
